Car Parks

Off-street parking is provided free of charge by NWLDC at the following locations:

Silver Street, Whitwick (adjoining Hermitage Leisure Centre)

City of Dan, Whitwick

Vicarage Street, Whitwick

There is limited parking on Market Place, Whitwick which has a time restriction on the length of stay.

There is also a small parking area for visitors to Cademan Woods off Swannymote Road.

There is currently no CCTV surveillance within Whitwick parish

There is currently CCTV surveillance both within and in the immediate vicinity of Whitwick Community Office.

Charities

Whitwick Park is a King Georges Field charity. Part of this charitable land was transferred to Parsonwood Hill Recreation Ground to enable a site within the Park to be let for construction of the Whitwick Youth Centre. Trusteeship was transferred from North West Leicestershire District Council to Whitwick Parish Council in 2014.

There is a public clock situated on the tower of St John the Baptist Parish Church in North Street.

Whitwick Parish Council provides small grants to support local community groups - please see the Financial Information page of this website for details of the scheme and an application form.

Copying Service

Whitwick Parish Council endeavours to provide a convenient copying service from the Community Office.  Either call in during opening hours or telephone for details at other times.  (Larger quantities may need to be  arranged in advance.)

 

Council Land & Property

Whitwick Park is a King Georges Field charity.
